Experience

I studied Political Science focusing on the Environment, Cooperation Policies as well as NGO Management. In addition, I am a certified ICF Executive Coach (ACC).

However, what really shaped and helped me to grow over the past 25 years was my work with individuals and organisations in more than twenty different countries. My involvement in their development and the feedback I received helped me to question my approach and to constantly adapt to new challenges. As former Director of the WWF Mediterranean Capacity Building Office in Barcelona, I can look back at over twenty years of successful collaboration with an extensive range of public institutions, private sector companies, government agencies, local authorities, numerous Civil Society Organisations (CSO) and grass-roots community groups.

The thematic focus over the last years has been on sustainable development and the environment. I worked on all biomes: freshwater, forest, marine, and fishery as well as on transversal thematic issues such as; climate change and sustainable tourism. I have supported many organizations on their policy and campaigning work in these areas and have helped to create and build policy networks covering numerous environmental issues helping them to grow and adapt to these new challenges.

Through managing multicultural and multidisciplinary programs with teams located in various countries it has aided me to develop my management and leadership skills and the correct application of them. This has given me a clear understanding of the needs and challenges of managers and leaders in the third sector and provided me with the knowledge and skill-set to be able to conduct a critical assessment of an organizational situation.
